Frequently Asked Questions
We love helping introduce your new floofy family member to grooming! First visits aren’t always perfect—and that’s okay. Everything is new, so we treat early appointments as gentle training focused on comfort and confidence.
Puppies are introduced to a bath, low-setting blow dry, brush out, light face trim, paw pad clean-up, and a sanitary trim. Kittens receive gentle brushing, nail trimming, and sanitary and paw pad clean-up.
These early visits help your pet get used to the sounds and sensations of grooming so they learn there’s nothing to fear.
We do require their first round of vaccinations before their appointment, even though they won’t be in contact with other animals.
We also offer free walk-in nail trimming for pets 16 weeks and younger to help socialize them with new people and gently introduce them to the sounds and smells of the salon.
We’ve been grooming doodles since the start of the trend—from Whoodles to Shihpoos and all the “oodles” in between. Because doodles are mixed breeds, there’s no one-size-fits-all haircut. Even pups from the same breeder can have very different coat types—and that’s completely normal.
Our team works closely with you to find a style that suits both your dog’s coat and your preferences. If anything isn’t quite right, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make adjustments (when possible) and keep detailed notes for future visits.
We believe every pet deserves a chance, and we do our best to accommodate each dog based on their needs. For pups that are nervous or easily overwhelmed, we offer early 7am appointments before the salon opens, giving them a quieter, calmer environment—especially helpful for dogs that may be reactive around others.
Our standard grooming appointments typically take about 3–4 hours, but we also offer Express appointments for an additional $30. With an Express service, your dog is the groomer’s only focus during that time, allowing them to be finished more quickly—usually within 1–2 hours.
If you’re unsure what would be best for your nervous pupper, feel free to give us a call. We’re always happy to talk through your pet’s needs and help find the right fit.
